A gas tanker has overturned at Tetegu Junction in Accra
The situation has caused massive traffic on the Weija-Kasoa section of the N1 Highway early Wednesday morning
The police and fire service were on the scene to ensure law and order; apart from the driver of the tanker, there has been no casualty so far
A gas tanker has overturned at Tetegu a suburb in the Weija-Gbawe constituency of the Greater Accra region, causing massive traffic on that stretch of the road.
The incident which also caused fear and panic saw drivers and commuters rush out of their vehicles for fear of a possible explosion.
Security personnel present ensuring law and order
The police and fire service were swift to the scene to ensure law and order. According to the police no casualty has been recorded yet; the driver of the tanker, however has been injured.
The situation also caused massive traffic on the Weija-Kasoa section of the N1 Highway forcing some of the passengers to trek to work
