Nii Noi Nortey has declared he will go independent to contest the Klottey Korle parliamentary seat
His decision comes on the back of his defeat to lawyer Philip Addison in the NPP primary
Nii Noi who had won an earlier parliamentary primary in the constituency lost marginally to lawyer Philip Addison in a re-run contest after a long legal tussle

Defeated New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary aspirant for Klottey Korle, Valentin Nii Noi Nortey has finally declared he will contest the Klottey Korle parliamentary seat as an independent candidate in the November polls.
Speaking at a press conference in Accra Wednesday to announce his decision to the world, Mr. Nortey said: “ I have consulted widely, I have prayed to my God and I have spoken to my family and extensively considered the opinion of my kingmakers and the electorate”.

The former NPP constituency chairman opined that going independent will win him the Klottey Korle seat. He also admitted that the NPP and its leadership has not treated him fairly; he accused the party leadership of being bias.
“I have arrived at the decision, which resonates with the masses, to declare that I, Valentino Nii Noi Nortey, shall contest as parliamentary candidate in the 2016 parliamentary election in Klottey Korle constituency,” he stated.

Nii Noi had won an earlier parliamentary primary in the constituency but lost marginally to lawyer Philip Addison in a re-run contest after a long legal tussle.
