Lionel Messi says there is no great rivalry with Barcelona club-mates Luis Suarez who plays for Uruguay and Neymar who captains Brazil.

The three play for three countries who are historically great rivals both on the football pitch and in their economies. Despite this and the huge outlay on Neymar and Suarez, the trio (dubbed MSN by the media) have been in fine form ever since Suarez arrived in 2014.
Messi says there is no rivalry between the three who already have a combined 94 goals for the Catalans’ this season.
“We all play for Barcelona, so there’s no rivalry,” Messi told El Graphico. “We’re professionals. When you represent your side, your role changes, but there’s no great rivalry or tension.” The 28-year-old Argentina captain also suggested that their backgrounds as Latino’s might have helped their understanding.

“Perhaps being Latino gives up a more similar approach,” he said. The MSN trio led Barcelona to the treble last season with Suarez and Neymar scoring in the Champions League final against Juventus last season.

Meanwhile, Barca tackle Rayo Vallecano on Thursday evening, aiming to rebuild their eight-point advantage after closest rivals Atletico Madrid who beat Real Sociedad 3-0 on Tuesday.
