Turkish President Erdogan embark on ceremonious visit to ghana today

His visit follows a 2013 visit to Ankara and Istanbul by President John Dramani Mahama and an earlier 2011 visit by former Turkish President, Abdullah Gül.
During the visit, Erdogan who will be accompanied by his wife and more than 150 business and government officials, will hold talks with President Mahama at the Flagstaff House (Presidency), while the two leaders address a joint press conference.

The Turkish president who will be flying in from neighboring Cote d’Ivoire where he had arrived late Sunday to commence his four nation African tour, is also expected to address a Business Forum together with the Ghanaian president.
Later, President Erdogan will join President Mahama to cut sod for the official commencement of work on a new terminal building at the Kotoka International Airport and later be hosted wirh his wife to an official State Luncheon in their honour by the Ghanaian First family.
President Erdogan began his African tour in La Cote d’Ivoire on Sunday, from where he would be travelling to Ghana and then to economic powerhouse Nigeria before wrapping up the trip in Guinea on Thursday.
As part of the visit to Ghana, the Turkish leader will also hold discussions with the Speaker of Parliament, Edward Doe Adjaho, and address the House, before visiting the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park with his wife.
On their part, the two First Ladies: Emine Erdogan and Lordina Mahama will also hold discussions at their level and pay a visit to the Osu Children’s Home, a state run orphanage,
